District Level Stakeholders' Coordination Meeting

Coordination meeting in Hetauda, Makawanpur was organized among the stakeholders of CTIP such as court, attorney's office, judges, police, Nepal Bar Association, lawyers, journalists and representatives of civil society organization on 7 March 2014. The major aim of the program was to ensuring justice to the victims of human trafficking with a strong coordination among the concerned stakeholders. Working against human trafficking is a collective initiation. In the absence of strong coordination it is difficult to combat and control human trafficking. In the forum like coordination meeting people share their experiences and obstacles/problems they have faced and also discuss about possible solutions. Therefore, the forum like this would ease to address the situation immediately and solve the problem.

The program was conducted with a major objective to establish a strong coordination among the stakeholders so that they can jointly work to rescue, rehabilitate the victims/survivors and prosecute the criminals as well as work for the prevention of human trafficking. With the coordination among the stakeholders it is expected that necessary reform in the policy will be made and practiced accordingly.
