To aware community people in the CTIP project implemented district, a one day community orientation program was organized in different VDCs of Kathmandu, Kavrepalanchowk and Makawanpur district. In all the VDCs the program was participated by VDC secretary, social workers, teachers, members of CBOs, local leaders and the community people. Nepali legal provisions on anti Human Trafficking especially on Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) Act 2007 and Regulation 2008 were the topics covered in the orientation.

The district lawyer of the three project implemented districts coordinated with Safe Migration Network of Change Nepal, Nepal Tamang Mahila Ghedung (NTMG), Gramin Mahila Swabalamban Samuha (GMSS) CTIP implementing partners of TAF/USAID prior to organizing the program. In many VDCs, PPR Nepal’s lawyer met the VDC secretary to discuss about the orientation and purpose of organizing it.
