Mobile Health Clinic for Victims of Conflict and Torture

A mobile health clinic was conducted in Dhadhabaar Village Development Committee (VDC) (one of the remote areas of the district) of Bijaya Nagar of Bardiya district on 28 November 2015. A medical team headed by Dr. Tika Ram Rai of Bardiya District Hospital examined the victims/survivors of torture and conflict and prescribed free medications as per their needs. Arrangements were also made to refer serious cases for further investigation. In the clinic advocate Mr. Kashi Ram Chowdhary and advocate Mr. Ganga Ram Gurung also provided legal counseling to victims/survivors as per their need. The clinic was jointly organized by PPR Nepal and Conflict Victims' Committee, Bardiya. A total of 151 victims/survivors received services from the mobile clinic.
